A beautiful place to spend your vacation would be Oxford. It is a city that is located in South East England.  The rivers of Thames and Cherwell run through the city and meet just a bit south of the city centre.   
Oxford is of course home to the University of Oxford, which is the oldest English-speaking University in the world.  You will notice that the architectural style is from the Saxons.  The city is a true architectural wonder, and it’s known as the “city of dreaming spires”.   
You will have a choice of several different types of accommodations when you visit Oxford.  You can choose to stay in a camping site, which would be a really fun vacation for you and your family.  You have a great location of a camping site that is located on the grounds of a 17th Century farm premises.  You have fishing that is close, horse back riding that your family can enjoy, and even golfing close at hand.  Plus there are two great walks that you and your family can take, or perhaps leave the kids at the campsite and you and your spouse can go for a nice, romantic walk.  As far as food you can either stock up your camper and cook around a campfire or go to one of the two pubs that are close by. 
You also have other accommodation choices in Oxford, such as farms, cottages, and bed and breakfasts.  All of these choices would suit a family or a couple who want to get away for the weekend.  You will find that a bed and breakfast would be a nice choice for that young couple who is spending their first weekend away, or even the older couple who are celebrating an anniversary. 
Don’t feel like these are the only choices you will have when you go to visit Oxford though.  There are choices of hotels, hostels, and guest houses, and you can’t forget about inns.   
Whatever way you choose to stay in Oxford you will not lack in things that you will be able to do.  If you know that you will be spending the majority of your time in one certain location, it would be a great idea to get into an accommodation that is close to that place.  This will save on travel time, and you should most of the time be able to easily walk to the location if you have set up your accommodations correctly. 
Everyone has their own choice for their favourite way to stay in a location when they go on vacation.  You may like the quaintness of a cottage more than anything, so look into that type of accommodation.  However, if you have no preference you can compare a bunch of different places and settle for the one that you feel is offering you the best deal.  After all, the money you save on accommodations is more that you’ll be able to spend on gifts and souvenirs.  Remember just compare and pick the best one for you, or go with the type of accommodations Oxford has to offer you.
